A little bit of everything and sometimes more. Castle ruins, charming old villages, modern cities, mountains, hiking and biking trails, and tradition.
Like many of the old villages on the Rhine, Rudesheim provides much of that old world charm with its half timber structures and brick paved alleys.
Located in Thallichtenberg, this castle’s location settles in nicely to the area’s landscape providing great photo opportunities for families or all by itself.
If you like to hike and explore the local trails in the Kaiserslautern area, Trippstadt should be on your list of to-do’s. Bring your camera and your dog you’ll both be better for it.
What can you say about France? Well, a lot. The food, the history, the architecture, and culture. The closer you get to the border with Germany, in towns like Colmar, Strasborg, and Wissembourg to name a few, you’ll see a blend of French and German culture right to down to the half timber dwellings.
This quiet path crosses over a canal that offers a view of the town’s cathedral on the way to the main street in the old town.
